In no doubt, YouTube has been dominating the video sharing and streaming website category for years. Music has always been the run on YouTube since artists and music media company introduces mostly of the track without video on YouTube and usually garners millions to billions of views, so this means YouTube is a behemoth in this arena. Although YouTube is currently the most visited and used video sharing and streaming website online, Dailymotion holds its own stage when it comes to videos and entertainment.

Categories & Flexibility
Dailymotion has a limited category, namely news, sports, entertainment, and music. Notice that it has only four selections, engagement for obvious reasons will be narrow.
Copyright and Restrictions
Dailymotion is not quite strict when it comes to copyrights since there were fewer complaints received where their videos have been suspended or deleted compared to the high traffic YouTube.

Conclusion:
By the looks of the interface, I am leaning more to Dailymotion since it has a minimalist touch, and the view is not as busy as youTube. Cleaner interface means easy navigation and it is easy to deal with without so many bars to follow.
Although YouTube has a more complicated format people get used to the updates on it since it is heavily available, so familiarity is really not an issue. YouTube is already a household name that has a wide variety of users from different countries and an age bracket that seemed to be stretching overtime. But for the overall package, for the winner on this platform is YouTube, since categories and a major key in viewing traffic. More genres mean more people are able to engage in the platform. Although YouTube may have stricter rules it might be just fair to other producers or creators to create a fair environment within the video-sharing platform.
