Step 1: Prepare microphone to record
Make sure your microphone works properly. You can test the microphone by heading to the “Sound” icon in the taskbar on your PC. Right-click it and select “Open Sound Settings”. Then speak to the microphone to test the volume.
Choose a sound source.
Click “Audio input” to open the sound source list. You can choose “System sound, Microphone, System sound, and microphone or None.” To record the microphone sound, you can select “Microphone”.
Choose a recording mode.
Click on the “Record” tab to choose the recording mode from “Full screen, Region, Audio, Web camera, Around mouse”. If you only need to record sound, then choose “Audio”.
Step 2: Record
The recording will start right after you set the recording mode to “Audio”.
Click the “Stop” button to stop recording when you are done.
