DMXF is short for Material Exchange Format. MXF is a professional audio and video media file format defined by SMPTE (American Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers).
MXF is mainly used in the production, editing, distribution, and storage of media in the film and television industry.
The MXF file contains information about internal media. This information (also known as metadata) may include frame rate, creation date, and custom data created by camera operators, assistants or archivers.
It is a very rare file format for most people and may not be able to open on a computer or mobile device. So it’s a good idea to change the MXF file to another more common video format like MP4.

Step 1: Add the MXF file to convert

3) Choose “Keep the selected section” or “Delete the selected section” from “Preferences”.
4)Click “OK” to save the setting.
Step 3: Convert MXF to MP4 format
3.1 Set the output format
Click to open the “Profile” drop-down menu, then choose the format you want from the profile list. Here choose “Video”, “MP4”, and quality “Same as source” or other options like “HD”, “4K quality” as per your need.
3.2 Start Conversion
Return to the file list.
Click the “Convert” button, then the converted MP4 file will be saved in the default output folder.
You can also customize frame rate, bitrate, codec, etc. manually. Just click the “Settings” button to enter the “Preset editor” window, then you can change the value and click “OK” to save the settings.
The program will pop up a window to inform you once the conversion is completed. Click “OK” to open the folder of your saved converted MP4 files.
Or you can click the “Open” button to find the mp4 file.
